MAC Lipstick Haul

MAC has definitely become my go-to lipstick brand. They just seem to have the prettiest colours! As someone who has quite sensitive skin, I’ve noticed some drugstore lipsticks give me allergy. I’ve never had any problem with MAC, even though their lipsticks do have a fragrance. Compared to similar brands such as Inglot and Make up store, I don’t think they are anything special, but their colour selection really sets them apart.

MAC:ista on ehdottomasti tullut suosikki huulipunamerkkini. Heiltä tuntuu aina löytyvän parhaat värit! Koska minulla on melko herkkä iho, olen huomannut että jotkut peruskosmetiikkamerkit aiheuttavat allergiaa. MAC:in kanssa tätä ongelmaa ei ole koskaan ollut, vaikka näissäkin huulipunissa on hajusteita. Verrattuna samantapaisiin merkkeihin, kuten Inglotiin tai Make Up Storeen, se ei ole mielestäni mitenkään erityinen, mutta MAC:in värivalikoimansa todella erottaa sen edukseen.

My favourite has to be their Matte Lipstick in the colour Whirl, a very flattering cold brown shade. I’m always on the lookout for this colour since I wear it pretty much every day and where I live, it’s constantly sold out! I certainly hope they don’t discontinue it anytime soon. Matte lipsticks tend to make your lips dry, but I haven’t had that issue with this brand. You just need to reapply it a few times throughout the day and keep your lips in good condition.

Suosikkihuulipunani on MAC:in mattahuulipuna värissä Whirl, joka on erittäin imarteleva kylmä ruskean väri. Pidän aina silmäni auki tämän varalle, koska käytän tätä melkein joka päivä ja se on jatkuvasti loppuunmyyty! Toivon todella, että tätä väriä ei lopeteta ainakaan lähiaikoina. Mattahuulipunat tekevät joskus huulet kuiviksi, mutta MAC:in kanssa en ole huomannut tätä ongelmaa. Huulipunaa täytyy vain lisätä muutaman kerran päivän aikana ja pitää huulet hyvässä kunnossa.

This time I also picked up a new colour called Faux, something I would describe as a neutral rose. It’s a lovely subtle colour, which makes you feel very girly. Side by side the lipsticks look quite similar, but their consistency is actually very different. This one is a Satin lipstick, which has a more moisturising and translucent formula – a good compromise between matte and glossy.

Tällä kertaa mukaani tarttui myös toinen, neutraali roosan väri nimeltä Faux. Se on ihanan hillitty väri, joka tekee olon tosi tyttömäiseksi. Vierekkäin katsottuna huulipunat näyttävät melko samalta, mutta niiden koostumus on itseasiassa hyvin erilainen. Kyseessä on satiinihuulipuna, jossa on kosteuttavampi ja läpikuultavampi koostumus – hyvä kompromissi matan ja kiiltävän välillä.
