I have found culottes to be a great alternative for everyday jeans. I've come across plenty of 70’s inspired printed ones as well as more sophisticated pleated designs. I too decided to jump on the train
when I came across these black Zara culottes. They are ankle-length and flowy, just perfect, so they look light enough even with heavy layers of clothing. This time I combined the culottes with an equally flowy trench coat, a white knit and Chelsea boots for a retro inspired work look. They also look great with a bomber and platform shoes, so you can easily dress them up and down.

Culottes-housut ovat kiva vaihtoehto
iänikuisille farkuille. Näistä on näkynyt rentoja 70-luvun henkisesti
kuvoituja sekä asiallisempia prässättyjä malleja. Minäkin lähdin viimein
mukaan tähän trendiin kun ihastuin näihin mustiin Zaran housuihin. Ne
ovat puolimittaiset ja laskeutuvat – juuri täydelliset – joten ne
näyttävät sopivan kevyiltä yhdistettynä runsaisiinkin vaatekerroksiin.
Tällä
kertaa yhdistin housut yhtälailla laskeutuvaan trenssitakkiin,
valkoiseen neuleeseen ja chelsea-bootseihin retrohenkiseksi työasuksi.
Culottes-housut näyttävät hyvältä myös bomber-takin ja paksupohjaisten
platform-kenkien kanssa, joten niillä saa helposti aikaiseksi niin
puetumman kuin rennommankin asun.
